The National Cesar E. Chavez Blood Drive Challenge is a student-lead health service learning initiative engaging both on- and off-campus community organizations & individuals.  Everyone is welcome to collaborate in building a platform to address the health issues of the community.  While the foundation for the event is a blood drive, most events now include bone marrow registry, and are steadily growing into health fairs.  Typically an either Latino/Hispanic-based and/or Health-based student organization leads the campaign, and proceeds to invite all other student organizations on campus to participate.
